Macintosh : Setting up the TCP/IP protocol

There are two type of TCP/IP protocols for MacOS system, traditional MacTCP and Open Transport (TCP/IP). Normally, TCP/IP comes with MacOS 7.5.2 and above. If you do not have MacTCP or Open Transport (TCP/IP) installed in your machine, you can install Open Transport (TCP/IP) from WebKiT CD-ROM. 

Setting up MacTCP

  1. Click Apple menu, point to Control Panel, then select MacTCP.
  2. Click on PPP and click More....
  • Under Obtain Address: select Server.
  • Under Gateway Address leave this blank.
  • Under Obtain Address select Server.
  • Under IP Address select Class C.
  • Under Domain Name Server Information: follow these steps...
  • Under the Domain column... In the first box type "CS Loxinfo.co.th" In the second box type "tnet.co.th".
  • Under the IP Address... In the first box type "". 
  1. Check Default at the first number.
  2. In the second box type "".
  3. Click OK.
  4. Restart your machine. Next, you can setup your dialer : ConfigPPP or FreePPP.

Setting up Open Transport (TCP/IP)

  1. Click Apple menu, point to Control Panel, then select TCP/IP.
  2. On the Connect via drop-down list, select your available dialer...
    Connect via:
    MacPPP(Config PPP), FreePPP, or PPP (OT/PPP).
  3. On Configure drop-down list, select "Using PPP Server".
    In the Name server address box, enter "" and "" at the next line.In the Search Domains, enter "csloxinfo.com"
  4. Close the TCP/IP Box then save the settings when prompted. Next, you need to configure ConfigPPP, PPP (OT/PPP), Remote Access, or FreePPP.
