Step:
1. Install Dial-Up Networking
2. Install TCP/IP
3. Setting up the Internet connection
4. Connecting to CS Loxinfo
 
Step 1 : Installing Dial-up Networking

(NOTE: Before you do following these steps, it is recommended that you must have Windows 95 diskettes or CD available in case you may be asked during the setup.)

  1. From the Desktop, double click on My Computer icon.
  2. Check if Dial-UP Networking does exist. If yes, skip to Step 2
    If not, follow these steps:
  1. Double click on Control Panel icon.
  2. Double click on Add/Remove Program icon.
  3. Click on Windows Setup tab.

  1. Double click on Communications, and make a check on Dial-up Networking as below and click OK button.

  1. You should be back to Windows Setup tab, then click Apply button.

(NOTE : You may be asked to insert Windows 95 CD-ROM, if yes, insert the CD-ROM or Diskettes of windows 95) After you have finished installing Dial-up Networking, click OK button, and you will be asked to restart your computer.

  1. Restart your computer, when you are prompted to do so. After restarting, go to Step 2

Step 2 : Install TCP/IP

  1. From Desktop, double click on My Computer icon.
  2. Double click on Control Panel icon.
  3. Double click on Network icon.
  4. Check if the TCP/IP does exist in the Network Configuration list, please skip to Step 3.

  1. Click on Add button, and select Protocol, and click on Add button.

  1. On Manufacturers, select Microsoft, and on Network Protocols, select TCP/IP. Then click OK button.

  1. You should be back to Network Configuration tab, click on TCP/IP and click on OK button

  1. Please click OK button from all screens, and Restart your computer. And go to step 3.

(Note : you may be asked to insert Windows 95 CD-ROM or diskettes.)

Step3 : Setting up the Internet connection icon

  1. From Desktop, double click on My Computer icon, then Dial-Up Networking.
  2. Double click on Make New Connection icon.
  3. Type in a name for this connection as "CSLoxinfo" and click Next button.
  4. Select the Country code from drop down menu, type in the Area (or city) code and the CS Loxinfo dial-up number, and click Next button.
  5. Click Finish button, to complete the entry.

  1. The new connection (Loxinfo) will appear as an icon in the "Dial-Up Networking" window.
  2. Press right-mouse button (right click) on the CSLoxinfo icon you have just created and select Properties.
  3. Under General tab, click the Configure button.
  4. Under General tab, which is in Modem Properties, select Maximum Speed = 57600, and Click OK button.

  1. Click on Server Type tab or button, and check as below :

  1. Click OK button from all screens.

Step 4 : Connecting to CSLoxinfo

  1. Double click on your connection ("CSLoxinfo"), which you have just created.
  2. In the username field, enter your "User-id@csloxinfo" .
  • For example, your user-id is "john"..
  • Then you must put "john@csloxinfo.com" (without quote), in the Username: field.
  • and put your password in the Password: field. as below :

    Remark: You can either connect through CS LoxInfo networking by dialing in to 9 digit Internet access number for each province or to through TOT network by dialing to 1222 (Available for TOT line only).
