1. Click
Start -> Settings -> Control Panel , and double click on
Printer and Other Hardware (go to Step 3). Or if you click on Switch
to classic View, it will show as Windows 98 Screen (as in Step 2).
2. Double
click on Phone and Modem Options
3 . Double
click on Phone and Modem Options
4. You will
see Dialing rules which is the same as Dialing Properties in Windows
95/98. At this step we will skip to Add new modem first. Click on Modems
tab.
5. On Modems
tab, click Add button to start installing new modem.
6. Uncheck
Don't detect my modem, I will select it from a list , then click
Next button.
7. Windows
will start detecting the modem, you will see Hardware detection status
at the right button corner of the screen.
8. It will
complete installing your modem. Then click Finish button.
9. Now the
modem installation is finished. Click Properties to check the properties
of modem.
